What is content development?
It all starts with an idea. Or a series of concepts. Usually not linear and they might not even make sense. But there’s some kind of spark. When you feel that spark, you’re ready to develop.
Seth Godin, in his brilliant Linchpin, says that art is several things. It is original. It is a byproduct of “emotional labor” (or adding significant and tremendous value). Art is also a gift. Art brings change.
I have the privilege of taking art—an idea for a story or book or Web site or video promo—and seeing it to fruition.
Content development is the execution of art.
For a little show and tell, and to explain how the content development process works, I’ve put together a few portfolio pdfs showing the before and after.
I hope you’ll enjoy, and it will get the wheels turning on how I can help you get your art executed, or as Godin says, shipped.
